More concerned with telling other's stories than writing her own, Rachel Plumley a junior journalism major at the University of Texas aspires to tell the truth of the world while taking a humanistic approach. Rachel's love for all things journalism began in 5th grade with a job as a local sports photographer for mckinneysports.net. By the end of her sophomore year of high school, she had been published over 45 times by a subsidiary of the Dallas Morning News and other professional publications. While she has already published two photography books, worked as a portrait photographer for Photo Texas, and currently works as a photojournalist for the Cactus yearbook, her ambitions go much further. Long term, she aspires to work as a photojournalist for a news wire, hoping to be on the front lines of major world events creating international feature images. |
